Westlake Photography is a portrait studio and is not currently booking weddings. We would, however, welcome the opportunity to shoot your engagement photos and help to capture your love story before your wedding!

Stiff, posed formals work for some people...but not for us! We like families to play, laugh, tickle and have fun during our sessions, and walk away with beautiful, natural photos that encompass your family dynamic or your child's personality. Piggyback/shoulder rides, kisses, favorite games and close cuddles are highly encouraged.

Before your session, we'll discuss the perfect location, clothing and any expectations you might have. We'll also ask about the different personalities of those being photographed so that we can be prepared for an active toddler or a camera-shy child. And we welcome any ideas and input from you!

Portrait sessions take place at a location of your choice with natural lighting. We have tons of ideas for locations, so we can brainstorm if you need help! Sessions typically last between 45 minutes and an hour and a half, but we understand that some may take longer than others. Outfit changes are welcome during the session.

Each image is carefully hand-crafted before we post the images from your session to a private online gallery for viewing. You will receive a password to access your gallery, and you can share your gallery password with family and friends. Before your gallery is posted, though, you'll be able to see a sneak peek of your session on our blog, so be sure to check soon after!
